A new appliance only performs as well as it is installed. A refrigerator that is not level can leak and run warm, a washer that is not balanced will shake, a dishwasher with a kinked drain line will leave standing water, and a gas range connected carelessly is a real hazard.
Mr. Fixer Appliance Repair has installed and repaired appliances for Metro Atlanta homeowners, renters and landlords since 2017. Because our licensed and insured technicians repair the same machines every day, they know what causes problems after an installation and set things up to avoid them.
Professional installation pays off in a few ways. It is safer, since a loose water line or an untested gas connection can cause real damage. It protects your investment, because many manufacturer warranties exclude problems caused by improper installation. And appliances that are installed level, vented and connected correctly tend to run more efficiently and need fewer service calls over their lifetime. We install appliances bought from any retailer. Call (678) 866-3669 or book online to schedule an installation and get a written price up front.
Before installation day
- Measure the opening and the path from the door to the installation spot, including tight hallways and stair turns.
- Have the new appliance delivered to the home and, if possible, leave it in its packaging until the technician arrives.
- Clear the area around the installation spot and make room to pull the old appliance out.
- Locate the water shutoff, gas shutoff and breaker for the space so the technician can work safely.
- Keep the installation manual and any parts kit that came with the appliance, such as hoses, brackets or a power cord.

What we install
Refrigerators
We position, level and secure the unit, connect the water line for the ice maker and dispenser, check for leaks and confirm the doors seal and close properly.
Ice makers
We install ice maker kits in compatible refrigerators, connect the water supply and run a fill test.
Dishwashers
We connect the water supply, drain and power, set a proper high loop on the drain hose, secure the unit to the counter or cabinets and run a full cycle to check for leaks.
Washing machines
We remove shipping bolts on front-loaders, connect new fill hoses, set the drain hose correctly in the standpipe and level the machine so it does not walk during spin.
Dryers
We connect gas or electric dryers to existing hookups, attach the correct power cord on electric models and connect the dryer to the existing wall vent with semi-rigid metal duct. Proper venting matters for both drying time and fire safety.
Ranges and stoves
We connect gas ranges to an existing shutoff with a new connector and leak test, install the anti-tip bracket and confirm every burner and the oven work. Electric ranges get the correct cord for your outlet.
Wall ovens, cooktops and microwaves
Built-in ovens, gas and electric cooktops and over-the-range microwaves are fitted to the cutout, secured and tested. We check the cutout dimensions before installation day.
Garbage disposals
We mount the disposal, connect it to the sink drain and the dishwasher inlet, and test for leaks under the sink.
Installation challenges we handle
Electrical compatibility
Before installation we confirm the outlet type, voltage and breaker match what the appliance needs. Many dryers and ranges use different cord styles. If the home needs a new circuit or outlet, we will tell you exactly what a licensed electrician needs to add.
Water supply and drain connections
We check shutoff valves, water pressure and drain setup. Old saddle valves and worn hoses are a common source of leaks, and we point them out before they cause damage.
Gas connections
We connect gas appliances to an existing, properly located shutoff and test every connection for leaks. Running new gas piping is work for a licensed plumber or gas contractor, and we will tell you if it is needed.
Dryer venting
Long, crushed or plastic vent runs slow drying and trap lint. We connect the dryer with proper metal duct. We do not clean, replace or reroute the house vent itself, and if it needs that work, we recommend a dryer vent cleaning service.
Fit and clearance
We measure the opening, door swing, path through the home and clearance for airflow so the appliance fits, opens fully and can be serviced later.
Smart appliance setup
On request, we can help connect a Wi-Fi capable appliance to your home network and show you the basic app features.
How your repair works
Plan the install
When you book, we ask about the appliance, model number and current hookups so we can spot problems such as a missing gas shutoff or the wrong outlet ahead of time.
Prepare the space
The technician protects floors, disconnects the old appliance and checks the water, drain, gas and power connections.
Install to the manufacturer's specs
We position, level and secure the appliance and make every connection according to the installation instructions.
Test and adjust
We run the appliance through its functions, check for leaks and gas tightness, and adjust leveling and doors as needed.
Walkthrough
We show you the main controls, any first-use steps and basic care, and answer questions before we leave.
Appliance Installation pricing
| What | Price |

What affects the cost
Installation pricing depends on the appliance, the existing hookups and how much work the space needs. A like-for-like swap of a washer or dryer is quicker than a built-in wall oven or a dishwasher going into a new opening, and missing shutoffs, old hoses or incorrect cords add parts. You get a written estimate before work starts. For repair visits, the $80 diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair if you go ahead, so if an appliance can be fixed instead of replaced, we will tell you. Not sure which way to go? Our guide on repair versus replacement can help.

My Samsung fridge was making this annoying buzzing sound for weeks. Oleg checked it out and found what was causing it. So much quieter now.
They repaired our refrigerator ice maker. Simple process from booking the appointment to getting it fixed. Would definitely use Mr. Fixer again.
My dishwasher just randomly stopped turning on. Dan came by, diagnosed it and explained my options without any pressure. Ended up getting it repaired and I’m glad I did.
Appliance Installation FAQs
What types of appliances do you install?
Refrigerators, built-in ice makers, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves and garbage disposals.
Do you install appliances bought from any store?
Yes. We install appliances from big-box stores, local dealers and online retailers, in any major brand.
Do you install both gas and electric appliances?
Yes. We connect gas appliances to an existing shutoff and leak test every connection, and we set up electric models with the correct cord and connection.
How do I know my home's connections will work with the new appliance?
Send us the model number when you book. We compare it to your outlet, gas and water setup and tell you ahead of time if anything needs to change.
Will you disconnect my old appliance?
Yes. We disconnect the old appliance and move it out of the way so the new one can go in. Ask about removal when you book and we will confirm what is possible.
How long does an installation take?
It depends on the appliance and the hookups. A straightforward swap is usually finished in one visit, while built-ins and gas appliances take more time.
Can you install built-in wall ovens and microwaves?
Yes. We install wall ovens, cooktops and over-the-range microwaves, and we confirm the cutout and electrical requirements beforehand.
What if the appliance doesn't work right after installation?
Call us. We will send a technician to check our connections and setup. If the appliance itself turns out to be defective, we will explain what we found so you can use the manufacturer warranty.
Do you offer same-day installation?
In most areas, yes, depending on the day's schedule and whether the appliance is already at your home. Technicians install Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM.
Can you set up my smart appliance?
Yes. We can help connect a Wi-Fi capable appliance to your home network and walk you through the app basics.
